This is a direct sequel to 2002’s Medieval: Total War and it brings tons of improvements plus a lot more features. 5. FTL: Faster Than Light
This is a challenging real-time strategy game. You control a spaceship with a mission to transport valuable information to an allied fleet light years away while rebels are in pursuit. Visually, it looks dated. But, somehow, its approach to combat feels fresh. Every move you make could be the last of your crew. It’s intense and unapologetic with combat that requires familiarity and high level of micromanagement. A play score of 9.2.

You play as the commander of an Earth defense force battling an alien invasion. Manage two aspects of warfare: Troop movements during battles And, base management: researching technology, finding funds, gaining support from nations and more! It received high praises for its tactical depth, the overall visual feel, engaging story and overall solid gameplay. XCOM: Enemy Unknown receives a play score of 9.3.
